There are millions of websites and thousands of blogs in the whole cyber space right now. With more and more people giving birth to their blogs and ideas online. A lot of sites flash down the toilet, a lot are growing rapidly. What makes a blogger contented? What makes you contented, me contented?
There’s been Technorati now to rank blogs by their incoming links and call it Authority. There’s Alexa which ranks sites according to site traffic which is quiet inaccurate because of their sparky toolbar. There’s been the classic google page rank, which is a dominating key factor on how much of important your website is on the internet. All those and more that are ranking your website accordingly.
Before anything else, let me ask you. Why did you start to blog? What was the essence of blogging at the very first? I probably can say that I blog to make money online, I blog because I have really nothing else to do, and it has come my passion. you shouldn’t be frustrated when your site becomes no hits, a little bit more hard work is needed. You shouldn’t feel lonely if no comments come in, write a few comments on your own with other names on your blog to attract readers to interact too.
It all depends on you on how successful your blog can be, and it really doesn’t matters on any ranking on how satisfied you could be with your blog. Rankings and other stuff don’t matter really. If you’d look back at the real essence of blogging, it used to be a way to express yourself and share thoughts and ideas to other people. There was no ranking implementet yet, no competing websites, nothing, but simple expression of thoughts.
But it’s a fact that it’s a human character that we feel unsatisfied most of the time, always striving for something better. But know your limits. Every blog is good, every blog has something to present, but if you, yourself don’t come to appreciate your own content, how much more can other people appreciate it?
Think it over. Don’t blog to earn money, don’t blog just for fame. Do it ’cause you want to do it, and accept at times, that you’re not always on top with your blog, everything has to start from a little thing. And may grow and grow, above anything.
